Terrier

The Terrier information on DigitalDog is sponsored by Barklope.com, the ideal source for the hottest in designer dog beds, dog gear, toys, collars and leashes!

Earth or Terra is the root of this groups name.  Remarkably quick, tenacious and clever, To survive, early Terriers needed those traits.  Being sent "to the earth" after their quarry meant they had little support or help from their companions (be they canine or human), so raw gut determination would often make the call as to whether he would be home for dinner that night after chasing quarry into dens and tunnels. They are cherished and enthusiastic companions full of entertainment and sparkle.  Research and knowledgable guidance and rearing are required for a Terrier to be a reliable companion for children.
