American Tundra Shepherd Dog
Relatively recent development of German Shepherd Dogs crossed back to wolves.  Very high energy, very intelligent and in need of confident trainer-owners who can build their abilities rather than become victim to them. For several reasons, it would be very difficult to call this a breed rather than a wolf-hybrid.  Check local ordinances regarding definitions and requirements in owning dogs with wolf ancestry.  In some areas, wildlife permits, double fencing and other precautions are required.  In any case, this is not the companion for the typical two career family with minimal time or understanding to train and socialize their new companion.
